BIOGRAPHIE

Daniel Mayer ist Absolvent der Münchener Fotoschule. Im Anschluss siedelte er um nach New York und war 3 Jahre Assistent in den Studios von Annie Leibovitz, Steven Meisel, Co Rentmeester, Sante D'Orazio sowie etlichen anderen Profis. Danach begann er selbständig zu arbeiten und zog nach Sydney lebte aber auch in Mailand und San Francisco um internationale Erfahrungen zu sammeln. Heute ist sein Fokus die Portrait- Mode- und Peoplefotografie. In jüngster Zeit hat er sich auch als Kameramann /Regisseur für Photomatics von TV-Commercials betätigt die man auf der website www.danielmayer.com sehen kann.
Daniel ist verheiratet mit Christina Mayer, die als freier Creativ Director arbeitet, und hat mit ihr die Internet Platform www.backstage-mag.com gegründet, ein online Magazin das zweimal im Jahr Portraits von den Fashionshows in Paris zeigt ihn darüberhinaus aber auch schon nach Mailand und New York geführt hat.

BIOGRAPHY

Daniel Mayer is a graduate from the National Academy of Photography in Munich, Germany. When moving to New York aged 25 he became a freelance assistent and worked with Annie Leibovitz, Steven Meisel, Co Rentmeester, Sante D'Orazio and many more photographers until he felt ready to branch out on his own 3 years later, living and working in Sydney, Milan and San Francisco to built his international portfolio. Today he focuses on portraiture and celebrity portraits as much as fashion and people photography. Most recently his work has been extended into the area of TV Commercials where he is a director/cameraman for photomatics to be seen on his website www.danielmayer.com.
Together with his wife and Creative Director Christina Mayer he has started Backstage-Magazine in 2006, a bi-annual online magazine reporting from selected fashion shows in Paris, Milan and New York.
