The Traces of the Moment (MVHS)
Every photograph is a testament to transience. The image remains, but the moment fades. Memories disappear and are lost. How can we make the process of remembering and overwriting visible with artistic means ? Using a simple photocopier, selected images are altered until the degree of fading on the paper corresponds to our perception. Personal photos—from family albums or contemporary history—are reimagined, and a series is developed.
